Description
The Aloe Vera combines body-contouring pocket springs, hypo-allergenic fillings, a deep 75mm layer of memory foam and the soothing properties of Aloe Vera.
The mattress is upholstered in a micro quilted and soft to touch stretch knit fabric that’s treated with Aloe Vera that has long been valued for its healing benefits.
Scientific studies have shown that when applied as a fabric treatment, Aloe Vera emollient has a positive balancing effect on your sleep and well-being.
Aloe Vera also has the ability to aid the regeneration of new skin and improves breathing and provides a better, fresher and cleaner night's sleep.
The high-tech layer of memory foam is designed to be temperature sensitive, reacting to the sleeper’s body heat and moulding itself to their contours.
The mattress core consists of an interior made up of small diameter pocket springs with each one housed in its own cloth sleeve and free of surrounding springs.
The springs are able to move freely so the load on one is not affected by any neighbouring springs, providing piston-like support to each part of your body.
The 5 way hinged mechanism offers unique customised support to all parts of the body, relieving aches and pains and improving circulation and posture.
In addition, the slatted frame is fitted with lumber adjusters in the lower back section, allowing you to increase or decrease the firmness in that area.
Please note: Price includes mattress and adjustable base. Headboard is not included.
Base details: Â
• Remote handset allows you to find your perfect sleeping position at the touch of a button

Reviews
At 17:50 we answered the door to the driver. He immediately told us that before he even started the crew had never assembled a bed like this, they had no idea how to do it, that there was another crew who were the experts and they had been trying all shift to get this sorted. None of this had been communicated to us, the customer, until this time. He said they were unhappy about how long it might take them, and that as they had never done this before they were worried if they got it wrong and anyone was injured. We expressed our view that it needed to be done, we had paid for this and everything was organised, including me being there despite living miles away. Just for context I am 72 and have a round trip of an hour to be there and get home again, the recipient of the bed its disabled. Had I not been there it would have been totally impossible.
The two crew made moves to take the old bed out, at which point we explained that if they could not assemble the new one they would have to take that away again and the old bed needed to be looked after until we knew all was well. Their comment was, it cant go on the van, its ‘manky’ and it will get filthy (not what I would expect having looked at the AIT website). The base we agreed could onto the van but the mattress had to stay propped in the hallway (safety hazard). They began to unload the new bed and I rang Archers…. of course it was now past their closing time. I range the delivery company main number at 17:57, got through then the line was dropped, and again at 18:00 and this time got through to someone. I did not get her name but the conversation went as follows.
I explained that we had this situation, that the delivery crew had no idea what they were doing and that this needed sorting because the bed was for someone who has medically complex needs and physical disabilities as well. She briefly spoke to the delivery guy to, I assume, check what the situation was. She pointed out that as she was in Northampton there was little she could do. I pointed out that the local depot had staff who knew how assemble this bed and it needed sorting otherwise there may be serious issues. She undertook to phone me back as soon as she had spoken to the local depot. When she rang back she said that someone at the local depot was on the phone to the driver talking him through the assembly, and that if it could not be fixed someone would come out that evening to do the assembly. She also said she would ring me back to check all had been sorted satisfactorily. That never happened.
When I went back through to see what progress was being made I found that there was no-one on the phone to Jay and never was, that he was attempting to follow instructions on his mobile phone screen from the manufacturer, and that they needed to borrow tools to do the job as they don’t carry any on the van. We managed to find and print off instructions for them to follow. After two hours and numerous rebuilds the bed was finally completed, it was now 20:00. We then had to tidy up, put furniture back and try to calm down.
Two weeks later we were refunded the 'specialist assembly payment' we had made. This was only done after numerous emails from myself. To date we gave not received any significant apology for this lamentable situation.
It’s also very comfortable so any doubts we may have had in buying a bed on line and untried were proved groundless.
Also the company staff at Archers were very helpful, they know their products well and helped us through the purchase without being pushy.
One last thing….we did have an issue with delivery/assembly of the bed (not the bed itself). I emailed the company and had a response immediately and the problem was rectified straight away.
We’re very happy with our purchase and the customer service from Archers and would definitely recommend both.
If the assembly team were trained I would have rated the whole experience as 5 star but having paid £50 extra for assembly I was not satisfied with the ability of the delivery team to manage the extra option of assembly.
The bed is sturdy, the mattress comfortable and the adjustable base works well. The service, from phone conversation for advice through ordering to delivery and installation was seamless and everyone I dealt with was helpful and knowledgeable.
But I cannot fault the service and courtesy of the way everything has been dealt with.
Would recommend to family and friend
The Archers correspondent was apologetic and did try to remedy quickly, but it was their product supplier who failed miserably. They failed to include the fixings in the first place (nothing inside sealed bed packaging). Then their first rectification attempt failed as they only sent the missing castors. Whether it's incompetence, lack of concern or human error, the outcome for the customer is the same.
So Archers are the victim of supplier inadequacy, but any vendor must take responsibility for their chosen suppliers as if it were a purchase they manufactured and supplied themselves.
Maybe I was unlucky, but I share so others recognise the risk exists. I wouldn't wish such an unacceptable experience on anyone else.
Thank you
