Choosing a mattress to accompany a new adjustable bed

When buying a new electric adjustable bed, its important to think about the mattress too. Although electric adjustable beds come in standard widths, the mattresses are usually 3inches/10cm longer than non adjustable beds. Adjustable bed mattresses also need to be able to bend and move while remaining supportive and comfortable.

If your electric bed mattress is still comfortable and supportive then you might not need a new one. If you have a standard mattress, not designed for adjustable beds, then this must not be used. If you use a mattress that is not designed to bend, it will damage the mattress and risks damaging your new bed.

When buying a new mattress for your bed there are a couple of things to consider.
